Prevent Blindness Ohio Hosts the 2025 People of Vision Celebration
Featuring Coach Jim Tressel
– Prevent Blindness Ohio proudly announces that Jim Tressel, Former OSU Football Coach and Retired President, Youngstown State University will serve as the Keynote speaker-
Columbus, OH (January 10, 2025) – Prevent Blindness Ohio (PBO) is pleased to host the 29th Annual People of Vision Celebration on February 4, 2025 at Windows on the River, Cleveland from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Prevent Blindness Ohio is excited to feature Keynote Speaker, former Ohio State football coach and retired president for Youngstown State University, Jim Tressel. Coach Tressel will share his “Attitude of Gratitude” with guests in attendance.
The People of Vision event was established in 1985 by Prevent Blindness Ohio to celebrate and recognize corporations and their leaders for outstanding philanthropic works they have undertaken. The event has evolved into The People of Vision Celebration where community visionaries are invited to share with guests their personal journey in establishing a vision for their community and seeing it through to fruition.
Prevent Blindness Ohio also honors an individual or organization with the Community Partner in Vision Award for their critical role in bringing vision care to medically underserved areas in their region. Prevent Blindness Ohio will be honoring Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging at the February 4th event for their tireless efforts to help PBO bring affordable vision care to so many living in Northeast Ohio.
The People of Vision Celebrations across Ohio have become premier philanthropic events each year. The events combined generate more than $300,000 for sight-saving programs provided by Prevent Blindness Ohio and are attended by approximately 750 community leaders.
Proceeds from the event benefit the sight-saving programs and services provided by Prevent Blindness Ohio in our community.
