We do this through promotion and services for early detection of possible vision problems and educating people about how to keep their sight safe and healthy for a lifetime. Early detection is essential in reducing the number of workplace injuries due to reduced or impaired vision as well as controlling vision loss due to diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, and age-related macular degeneration. Early detection also saved employers time and money through a consistently strong and productive workforce. Prevent Blindness Ohio provides a complete continuum of care, from the initial screening of your employees, educational materials, to eye exams and glasses in the event they are unable to access these services.
