What You Need to Know

Vision insurance is not the same as regular health insurance.  Health insurance helps pay for eye injuries or eye diseases.  Vision insurance helps pay for eye check-ups, glasses, or contact lenses.  Some health insurance plans also include vision benefits.

Insurance can be any medical coverage including:  Medicare, Medicaid, Affordable Care Act or a policy purchased privately or through an employer.
